Welcome to the Prosperity Project

Where you can make a difference in the future of our state

The California Prosperity Project is built on this belief: when California workers are informed and active in government and elections, our families, our communities and our state will benefit. It was created to help educate our state’s employers and workers about issues that impact job security, economic competitiveness, wages and benefits – and ultimately our future prosperity.

The Prosperity Project provides employers and their employees materials that explain, in simple language and a nonpartisan way, the importance of state and federal elections. Materials prepared by the California Prosperity Project give objective information on candidates, statewide ballot propositions, and on public policies that affect job security and the economy – information for you to consider when you go to the polls to vote.

Today's Hot State Issue:

California Top Two Open Primary
In June 2010, California voters passed Proposition 14, the California Top Two Candidates Open Primary Act. Proposition 14 changes the primary election process for congressional, statewide and legislative races. The new measure changes the way candidates run for office, and the way your voice will be heard. Click here for more information!

Today's Hot Federal Issue:
This year, Americans will have the opportunity to vote for a new President. Be sure that you, your family, friends, and co-workers are informed, educated and registered to vote next year!

"The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
